Tromix – 9mm Buffer

The Tromix 9mm Buffer is a U.S. made 4″ reciprocating head, two-piece sliding weight AR-15 / AR-9 extended 9mm buffer, black/iridescent finish.  This 4″ 9mm buffer uses the entire steel/tungsten rear piece, to dead-blow the bolt carrier in order to prevent bolt bounce in full auto and Rapid Reset Trigger equipped firearms.  The dead blow action will only operate correctly if there is approximately a 1/16″ – 1/8″ gap between the head piece and the body.  This gap is set at the factory and does not need to be adjusted.  This buffer is of the same design as used in the 1985 Colt 635 submachine guns and has proven to be extremely effective.

The sliding portion of the Tromix 9mm Buffer weighs 6.2oz which exceeds the sliding weight of a conventional 3.25″ H4 carbine buffer.  Complete assembly weight is 9.5oz.  If you plan to shoot your PCC 9mm carbine with a rapid reset trigger or full auto, the weight of the sliding portion of your buffer is extremely important to prevent bolt bounce.  There are other buffers out there, where the weight of the sliding portion is undisclosed for a reason…….that sliding portion is way too light to prevent bolt bounce.
