Tromix – H3 Heavy Carbine Buffer

This is a U.S. made two-piece H3 sliding weight AR-15 buffer, standard carbine length (3.25″), black/iridescent finish.  It uses the entire solid steel rear piece, to dead-blow the bolt carrier in order to prevent bolt bounce in full auto and rapid reset trigger firearms.  The dead blow action will only operate correctly if there is a 1/16 – 1/8″ gap between the head piece and the body.  This gap is set at the factory, but can be adjusted if need be.  These buffers have been thoroughly tested in a large variety of AR configurations with barrels as short as 7″ and they work absolutely fantastic with Rapid Reset Triggers in place.  5.1 – 5.2oz seems to be the sweet spot when it comes to making Rapid Reset Triggers sing.

The sliding portion of the buffer weighs the same (4.3oz) as the sliding tungsten weights used in a conventional H3 buffer.  However, being made of 8620 steel, instead of Tungsten, greatly reduces the cost to manufacture.  Complete assembly weight is approximately 5.15oz.  Take note – There are other so-called H3 buffers out there, where the weight of the sliding portion is undisclosed for a reason…….that sliding portion is way too light to prevent bolt bounce.

NOTE: YOU MUST LOOSEN THE SMALL LOCKING SET SCREW ON THE SIDE OF THE BUFFER BODY, PRIOR TO TURNING THE MAIN HEAD SCREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not compatible with Sylvan Arms Folding Stock Adapter or Geissele Super 42 spring.  All other buffer springs work fine, including the Tubbs flat wire.
